I have stayed all over the world and my stay here was my favorite hotel experience ever! We even decided to book an additional night just because it was so magical. The view from our room was spectacular. The staff was phenomenal. Yes, Andy! He’s a treasure that really cares about making your experience first class. They all do. I could gush on and on really. Super clean. Smells yummy. Amenities rocked. Location was walking distance to anything you may need. Be careful of the Patisserie across the street. We walked out of there stuffing our faces every morning we were there!!!
From the moment I entered my room, I was struck by its stunning design. The room's beauty was amplified by the abundant natural light streaming in through the skylight, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The unique feature of a sitting area on its own elevated platform added an intriguing touch, offering a cozy retreat that felt like a separate space within the room.
Dining at the attached restaurant was a culinary delight. Both their lunch and breakfast menus showcased a range of delectable dishes, each prepared to perfection. The quality of the food and the service exceeded my expectations, making every meal a memorable part of my stay.
A highlight of the Kimpton Vintage was the attached distillery outpost. This cozy spot provided a wonderful opportunity to engage with other travelers and learn about locally crafted spirits. The intimate setting and the knowledge shared by the staff made each visit both educational and enjoyable.
In conclusion, my stay at the Kimpton Vintage Portland was nothing short of marvelous. The combination of exquisite room design, outstanding dining, and the unique distillery experience sets this hotel apart as a top choice for anyone visiting Portland.
First time staying at the Kimpton I narrowed down my choices and went with this hotel and was greatly disappointed gotten into the room and the bed was horrible when you were paying over $250 a night you would expect something better
I did let the staff know, and I was switched to a different room where the bed was mediocre. I will probably not stay there again. I was expecting maybe not luxurious but I was expecting pillow top.
I know it is an older hotel, but the beds I don’t know if they got them on sale from Motel 6 but they’re horrible. I will say the soaking tub is absolutely amazing except for when the knobs fall off and it’s corrosion behind them. One positive thing is check out is at noon instead of 11 AM. The staff was very nice and courteous The food at the restaurant was good. I like the fact they had room service.
The ambience or the decor was kind of cool it was very rustic, very mixed media they didn’t even offer breakfast and again when I checked out my bill was over $325 for one night we did have room service however I really was expecting a lot better the pictures on their ad or their website are so much better than what you walk into
I had a wonderful time staying two nights at the Kimpton Vintage hotel in downtown Portland.
The staff was polite and helpful. The room was clean and inviting. I especially liked my crushed red velvet extra large sofa in the raised seating area of my King Suite. The bed was comfortable and the tub was deep enough to completely soaked my entire body.
Andy is phenomenal. The most friendly and professional individual I've ever encountered staying at a hotel. He goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay. The staff even brought up two water bottles for free to my room, which is highly appreciated. It's the little things that make the difference.
I'm giving it 3 stars simply because I was unaware of the $25 fee per night. Tax was $4 so basically an additional $30 a night, a total of an $87 charge I wasn't expecting. I booked on traveluro and at no point do I remember it mentioning this. No one mentioned it during check in either. This should be something mentioned during check in to make guests aware and to make sure guests are aware. We specifically stayed away from using the amenities so we didn't have to pay extra, turns out they charge everyone who stays there for them. If we'd have known about it we would have used them.
This hip hotel is very artsy, clean, and well kept. The helpful staff made the stay extra special. I loved that my room smelled nice and was spotless. The house staff take really good care of things. The onsite restaurant is a plus. They don't tell you this, but charge it to your room to use the $10 credit. Ask for the credit at check out. I would have appreciated written reminders at check in on amenities as credits available to us. The location is not great, but I didn't have any safety issues during the day while I was there. It's within walking distance to the river front, Powell's, food stalls, and Pioneer Square.
Fantastic building - where most hotels have mostly the same floorplan, Hotel Vintage has a really cool and different layout. The dining area, meeting room, and lobby were all superb. My only complaint is the bed in my room. I did not sleep very much or very well.
